AMI/AMR Smart Water Meter
Smart water meters are mainly used for monitoring of consumption and billing in residential buildings, commercial buildings and industrial compounds.
These water meters have different principles of measurement – using multiple or single jet streams to rotate a turbine, measuring a fix volume of water through a high precision rotating chamber etc. The sensor which is mounted on the analog register of a water meter produces a low level “Pulse” or high level “M-bus” output during operation which goes to a building management system where the meter reading can be monitored. These outputs can also be converted to “Modbus” outputs.
